“Maasai Mara Pride” is part of the Safari triptych.

This lioness carried only one cub.  The chances are that she had lost the other cub or cubs.   She watched carefully over this remaining baby, carrying him over steep terrain.  This was a unique situation and lucky shot.

The male in the background was actually a separate experience.  He walked alone across the Mara, ignoring us and probably looking forward to an afternoon nap.
